Grand Rapids, MI Thacker Sleight was ranked number two in West Michigan as a Top Family Law Firm in 2020 by Grand Rapids Business Journal. Connie Thacker, Allison Sleight, and Terri Koenig created the woman-owned and operated firm only three and a half years ago. The firm has grown to what it is today through leadership and teamwork. Connie and Allison are also proud owners of their own building, where they operate the firm. The building is located in Heritage Hill; the Damon Hatch residence was built in 1840 and completely restored by Connie and Allison in 2020.

Requests for firm information were sent to all Family Law firms in West Michigan for their participation. Thacker Sleight continues to expand with Family Law Attorney Tiffany Burks’ addition in late 2020 and Attorney Courtney Sierra in March of 2021. The firm is looking forward to very successful years to come.

Ms. Thacker is a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Only 1,600 Attorneys across the entire country are members of this prestigious organization. Connie is also designated as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. Ms. Thacker recently was recognized as a 2021 “Michigan Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers.

Ms. Sleight was named “Super Lawyer’s Rising Stars” in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 as well as “Up & Coming Lawyers” in 2016 by Michigan Legal News. Allison was selected to Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders Class of 2019. Ms. Sleight focuses her practice in Business and Family Law, providing representation when the issues to be resolved or litigated include complicated compensation issues, accounting, and business valuation issues.
